משנה מועד קטן א׳:ז׳

One may not marry a woman during the festival, whether a virgin or a widow, nor may one perform levirate marriage, because this is a joy for him. But one may remarry his divorced wife. And a woman may make the adornments [for her wedding] during the festival. Rabbi Judah says: she may not put on lime, as that is a [temporary] disfigurement to her.

מועד קטן ח׳ ב:ז׳

MISHNA:One may not marry a woman on the intermediate days of a Festival, not virgins and not widows, and one may not perform levirate marriage with his sister-in-law, if his brother died childless, because it is a joyous occasion for him. However, one may remarry his divorced wife on the intermediate days of a Festival, as this is not as great a joy for him.

Rebbi Ila, Rebbi Eleazar in the name of Rebbi Ḥanina: Because one does not mix one joy with another joy. Rebbi La understood it from the following: For they celebrated the initiation of the altar for seven days and the holidayfor seven days. Rebbi Jacob bar Aḥa understood it from the following: finish the week of this one. Rebbi Abbahu in the name of Rebbi Eleazar: Because of the exertion. It was stated: But one may plan and marry on the eve of a holiday. This does not disagree with Rebbi Eleazar; this does not disagree with Rebbi Joḥanan. And even with Rebbi Ḥanina it does not disagree. Rebbi Abba said, when the bride enters the exertion leaves.

בראשית כ״ט:כ״ז

Wait until the bridal week of this one is over and we will give you that one too, provided you serve me another seven years.”
